<br />..- <br /> <br />'-- <br /> <br />Bill Abbott suggested tabling the matter until the next meeting to <br /> <br />find out what Attorney Tim Currens had found out regarding whether the <br /> <br />property was being used as a non-conforming use or was in fact in viola- <br /> <br />tion of the present ordinance. <br /> <br />The Board was next presented with a problem on the Ray Reed property. <br /> <br />A neighboring landowner, Mr. Schultz, provided the Board with pictures of <br /> <br />the property in question. He advised that there was sewage seepage coming <br /> <br />onto his property and that the front yard of Mr. Reed was soaked with water. <br /> <br />Steve Edwards advised that the property looks like a landfill. It was <br /> <br />also brought to the Board's attention that the property was presently zoned <br /> <br />agricultural but it was believed that the premises were being used as a <br /> <br />multi-family dwelling. The Board asked the town attorney to direct a letter <br /> <br />to Mr. Reed citing the ordinance violations of using the property as a land- <br /> <br />fill and also of using the property as a multi-family dwelling in violation <br /> <br />of the agricultural classification. The motion was made by Warren Franklin, <br /> <br />seconded by Bill Abbott and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />The Board then provided the Board attorney with an advertisement for <br /> <br />Joan's Catering. The Board advised that they believed this violated the <br /> <br />zoning ordinance and also asked the town attorney to direct a letter to the <br /> <br />business advising the proprietor to appear before the Board or to file proper <br /> <br />papers for a variance or rezoning. Said motion was made by Steve Edwards, <br /> <br />seconded by Dave Barry and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />Mitzie Forbes advised that Ray Hatmaker was continuing a business in <br /> <br />the residential classification. The Board believed that this matter had <br /> <br />previously been taken to court and that an injunction had been obtained <br /> <br />against Mr. Hatmaker.
