Bill Abbott moved to accept the preliminary plat for filing contingent on the above changes being made prior to final approval. The Board then allowed questions from the floor. Tom Mauer, an adjoin- ing property owner, stressed concern with the placement of the entrance road to the subdivision. He indicated that lights from cars leaving the subdivi- sion would come directly into his living room and bedroom. He further advised that there were presently two roads which teed into Allison Road within 1,500 feet of each other and felt this created a traffic problem. The Board was informed that Delbert Hobson indicated the county had not taken any dedications in four years. Steve Edwards indicated that he did not understand why the county would want to turn away tax dollars by refusing to accept a street dedica- tion. Bill Abbott interjected that it creates a problem in that our ordinance requires a bond which the petitioners mayor may not be able to obtain given the county's position. The Board then moved on to old business. Steve Edwards advised that he had received a complaint concerning the property which used to be Daniel's Den. He was advised there was trash everywhere and that the property was being used as a residence even though it fell wit hin the business classifi- cation. Steve Edwards advised the Board that it was his recollection that the Board had sent a letter out to the owners concerning the violation. Dave Barry responded that he thought the owners had come in and given their assurances that the problem would be corrected.
