Steve Edwards indicated to Mr. Lawson that they just <br />had a minimum quroum tonight and that all five votes would have to <br />go one way or the other before any legal action could be maintained. <br />After consultation with his client, Mr. Lawson advised that they <br />wished the Board to take action on the pending matter. <br />Bill Abbott moved to approve the plat since it met with all of <br />the requirements of their ordinance, this being contingent upon a <br />letter from the county advising that they will in fact accept the <br />dedicated road. Warren Franklin seconded the motion and it was <br />unanimously carried. <br />The Board then moved on to the next item on the agenda which <br />was the petition of Max Mackenzie to rezone property located at <br />107 West South Street, Mooresville, Indiana from a single-family to <br />multiple-family dwelling. Mr. Mackenzie advised that he desires <br />to put ~n doubles and perhaps even an apartment on that tract of <br /> <br /> <br />land. He indicated that the lot was of standard width but was quite <br /> <br /> <br />deep. He further advised that the house on the property has been <br /> <br /> <br />added onto. Dave Barry said he objected to the conversion of what <br /> <br /> <br />was once a garage into a dwelling. <br /> <br /> <br />Steve Edwards said he was aware that there was a two and a half <br /> <br /> <br />garage in back of the home and that the ordinance required a minimum <br /> <br /> <br />of three parking spaces per side for a double. Mr. Mackenzie indicated <br /> <br /> <br />that there was plenty of space to provide for adequate parking. <br /> <br /> <br />Tilford Bailey moved to recommend the rezoning of said tract <br /> <br /> <br />of land from single-family to multi-family dwelling.
