The motion carried by majority vote. <br /> <br />--- <br /> <br />The Board then moved on to the next item on the agenda which <br /> <br /> <br />the application of William E. Hardcastle to rezone approximately <br /> <br /> <br />forty (40) feet of property on the west end of Williams Drive which <br /> <br /> <br />was believed by Mr. Hardcastle and the Board to have been rezoned <br /> <br /> <br />when Mr. Hardcastle was previously before the Board. Mr. Hardcastle <br /> <br /> <br />indicated that subsequent to the Board's previous granting of the <br /> <br /> <br />rezoning it was determined that the legal description missed forty <br /> <br /> <br />(40) feet on the west end of that property. He testified that one <br /> <br /> <br />double will in fact be on the tract of land which was not described <br /> <br /> <br />at the previous meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />Steve Edwards testified that it was his belief that all of the <br /> <br /> <br />property was included last time and the entire Board concurred. <br /> <br /> <br />Bill Abbott moved to recommend the rezoning from single-family to <br /> <br /> <br />multi-family dwellings. The motion was seconded by Tilford Bailey <br /> <br /> <br />and unanimously carried. <br /> <br /> <br />The Board then moved on to the first item under old business <br /> <br /> <br />was the Doug Turner property located at 39 West Main Street in <br /> <br /> <br />Mooresville. It was indicated that Doug Turner has several junk cars <br /> <br /> <br />as well an engine block and much garbage in the back yard of that <br /> <br /> <br />property. It was also indicated that he has ignored the Planning <br /> <br /> <br />Commission and the Police regarding the refrigerator and the fact <br /> <br /> <br />that the door on that refrigerator is creating a safety hazard to <br /> <br /> <br />children. Bill Abbott moved to have the Board Attorney take the <br />
