7. Variance for "no" curbs. Motion was made by Don Barry to grant variance but <br />no second to the motion was forthcoming. Motion died. Motion was made by Mike Young, <br />second by Brent Plunkett to grant variance for no curbs with modification. Lots 1-8 would be <br />exempt, but Lots 9-14 must have curbs. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br />8. Variance for paving requirements was withdrawn. <br /> <br /> 9. Variance for number of parking spaces from 4 to 3 per unit. Motion was made <br />by Don Barry, second by Vem Kimmel to grant variance. Motion carried 3-2 with Mike Young <br />and Brent Plunkett opposed. <br /> <br />10. Front Property setback variance-- was found not to be an issue. <br /> <br />Next, Ross Holloway requested a variance from front and side setback for Chas. O'Neal property <br />located at 267 East Main Street. This is a variance from Development Standards for B-1 use. <br />The Bank as the lender wants to have a Rezone and a Variance. Motion was made by Vern <br />Kimmel, second by Don Barry to grant the variance. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br />Mark Poteet from Hoosier Energy requested a Special Exception to build a Transmission line <br />from existing at Southbridge Crossing over to Highway 144. It does not cross Highway 67. Four <br />poles have been set for IPL to transfer to at WWTP for the Dog Kennel- will go across Railroad <br />Tracks, Park Drive, north side of WWTP, highway 144, and up to Wendys. Motion was made by <br />Vern Kimmel, second by Brent Plunkett to grant the Special Exception. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br />Last, Ross Holloway explained the request for Special Exception for Big O Tires at Southbridge <br />Crossing. This now goes to the Plan Commission at their August 27, 1998 meeting. <br /> <br />There being no further business to come before the Board of Zoning Appeals at this time, <br />motion was made by Brant Plunkett, second by Don Barry to adjourn. <br /> <br />The next meeting of the Mooresville Board of Zoning Appeals will be Wednesday, September <br />16, 1998, at 7:00 P.
