I

'--"

,-

MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION

Minutes of meeting of August 24, 1978.

The Mooresville Plan Commission met in regular session on
Thursday, August 24, 1978, at 7:30 p.m. at the Town Hall. The
following Board Members were present:

Mr. William Abbott, President
Mr. George Smith
Mrs. Nan Kollmeyer
Mr. Warren Grubb, Jr.
Mr. Robert Allen

Mr. David E. Lawson, attorney for the Board, was also present.

In the absence of an appointed Secretary, George Smith was
appointed as acting Secretary for the meeting.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved by the
Board.

Mr. Abbott advised the Board that Docket No.9, 1978, had been
filed and was ready to proceed with the hearing thereon.

The Petitioner was represented by their counsel, Mr. Steven Harris.
Mr. Harris requested that the Board continue the hearing on this
Docket until its regular scheduled meeting in September. He
advised the Board that several of the remonstrators had employed
the services of Attorney Sam Kagan, of Martinsville, Indiana.
Both attorneys felt that there was a need of discussions between
the petitioner and remonstrators before placing the issue before
the Plan Commission.

The only party appearing in regards to the petition as filed was
Mr. Gary Rogers of 214 Bishop Street, Mooresville, Indiana.

Upon motion made by Mr. George Smith and seconded by Steve Edwards,
the motion for continuance was granted and the matter will be
placed on the Plan Commission's Docket for hearing on Thursday,
September 28, 1978, at 7:30 p.m. No further written or public
notice will be given.

Mr. Lawson reported that he had received a telephone call from the
owner of the property at 224 West High Street, the same being
Mrs. Pearl Meyer, and also from her counsel, Mr. Steven Harris.
Both of the calls indicated that the lessee of the property had
surrendered the same to the owner and that she had taken occupancy
of the same for herself. The previous tenant of the property, Mr.
William Wright, had surrendered possession to her.
