Members present
were: Robert Farmer, Steve Edwards, William Abbott, Tilford
Bailey, Rebecca Hardin and Eweather Stephens. Also present
was Attorney for the board, David E. Lawson, who expressed
his gratitude to the commission for changing the scheduled
meeting night of the Plan Commission from the third Monday
of the month to the fourth Thursday of the month.
Reorganization of the Plan Commission was tabled until
the March meeting to enable a re-defining of terms of members.
The secretary was asked to secure the information, from
the secretary of the Town Board, Marilyn Miller, Clerk-Treasurer.
The discussion did clarify that the seven member Plan Commission
is composed of three City Government representatives, appointed
by the board of trustees for a term of ~ne year, and four
citlzens-at-large, two republicans and two democrats, are appointed
by the President of the Town Board.
The necessity to begin work on an ordinance to control
Sub-division development was discussed and a sample ordinance
given to each member present for their consideration and study
before our regular meeting in March.
There being no old business to consider, upon a motion by
Eweather Stephens, seconded by William Abbott, the meeting was

adjourned.

$~~

Secretary

-

~~~
