<br />-2- <br /> <br />His main reason for wanting the Gen. Business zoning was that <br />the greater latitude offered by Gen. Business zoning would make <br />~ it more attractive to the Financiers of the project. <br /> <br />With concern that the town should have protection against <br />the possibility that theproperty might be sold to another investor, <br />K~MX~ should the shopping center not be successful and keeping in <br />mind the proximity of the property to school property, a motion <br />was made by Lewis Truax that the requested zoning of Gen. Business <br />be den i ed with a recomrr:endat i on to the Town Board for Loca 1 <br />Business zoning. The motion was seconded by William Roberson. The <br />votes were as follovls: <br /> <br />'--" <br /> <br />Truax - La <br />Hensley - LB <br />~oberson - LB <br />Stephens - LB <br />Edwards - GB <br /> <br />A fe-organization meeting Is scheduled for the February 18th <br />meeting. <br />After a motion to adjourn by Wm. Roberson, seconded by E. <br />Stephens and carried the meeting was re-convened by chairman <br />Edwards to pass a resolution instructing Plan Commission <br />Secretary, E. Stephens to draft a letter to the Lilly Endowment, <br />Inc. in behalf of the Morgan County Historical Society in their <br />efforts to restore the Academy building to the use of a museum <br />and meeting place. It is our hope that funds will be granted to <br />this purpose as it is a worthwhile effort to the Community and <br />surrounding areas.
