<br />r <br />f <br />, <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />'--' <br /> <br />-,- <br /> <br />Mooresville plan Commission <br /> <br />MOORESVILLE, INDIANA <br /> <br />lffilUTES OF THE MOGRESVIILE PLUI CCMHISSION ST-\TED MEEl'lllG <br /> <br />HELD: 3/15/71 <br />J1EHBERS PRESENT: Worland, Tackitt, Ditton Fulk, Summerlot, Stanley and }l.r. <br />Lawson, TOIm Attorney <br />Meeting opened by Mr. Worland. <br />The minutes of the 2/15/71 meeting were not read due to the Secretary being <br />ill. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br />Mr. Richard Bo;mnn, 13W.Wash.St.Mooresville, Indiana addressed the P1an <br />Connnission on the subjeot of the Marathon property and stated that he was <br />in favor of the proposed construction. <br /> <br />The attorney for Varathon Oil and other personnel spoke on behalf of <br />l~rathon oil and the location for the proposed construction. <br /> <br />Marathon Oil offered to furnish and install a traffic light at the corner of <br />Indiana and Washington SU. <br /> <br />Mr. Phil Kappas, attorney, spoke for 139 citizens who were against the <br />placement of the Marathon station at that location.: <br /> <br />Mr. Ditton, Commission member, motioned that the matter be taken under consideration. <br />On the vote, the motion failed. <br /> <br />'~ <br /> <br />l~. Tackitt, Connnission member, motioned to vote on the matter, seconded by Mr. <br />Stanley. Motion carried, as follows: Tackitt, Yes, Ditton, ~, Stanley, !!2. <br />Fullt, Yes , SUJIlIIlerlot, !!2,. <br /> <br />Attorneys for the Remonstrators registered a protest since four (4) favorable <br />votes were not cast. <br /> <br />The follOWing building permits were issued: <br /> <br />John H.Moore - 59 S. Clay for a 3-car garage (20 x 40) <br />Automotive Armature- an addition to the present building on the south side <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS: The Town Board confirmed the Plan Commission members terms as <br />follows: Worland, term ending 1/1/72, Henderson, ending 1/1/73, Tackitt, ending <br />1/1/72, SUJIlIIlerlot ending 1/1/72, Ditton ending 1/1/72,c;Fulk ending 1/1/73 and <br />Stanley, ending 1/1/72. <br /> <br />,-\ motion to adjourn \1!lS made by Fulk and seconded by Stanley.
