Commissioner McGuire said he would like to have <br />different color brick with no two colors side-by-side, architectural, and shingles. He said it was mainly for empty <br />nesters. Mr. Brizendine asked if this was going to be a requirement and Mr. Holloway said <br />because of the equal opportunity laws it is very hard to restrict it to senior housing, unless it is <br />for assisted living. <br /> <br />Mr. Tim Gonterman, 437 Victoria Lane, asked if there was a back up plan for single-family units <br />if this didn't take off and Mr. Holloway said a single family units was tried and you can not get <br />enough density and money to pay for the aesthetics of brick and infrastructure. <br /> <br />Bill Ball, 464 Kanterbury Lane, said that with the last discussion they were asking for a <br />clubhouse, are you talking about the same type of development now as they were then and Mr. <br />Holloway said that they have eliminated the clubhouse, because they have lowered the density <br />and added more green space, which they feel clubhouses are very rarely used. <br /> <br />Mr. Jeff Quyle asked if there would be left turn lanes or merge lanes provided on Bridge Street <br />and Mr. Holloway said there was not, because Bridge Street has a sixty-foot right-of-way. Mr. <br />Quayle asked if the sidewalk would be wide enough to accommodate the pedestrian and bike <br />traffic coming off the proposed bike path and Mr. Holloway stated the sidewalk was according to <br />Mooresville standards of four feet. <br /> <br />Commissioner Bryant stated that he did not feel any different than he did at the last meeting, <br />even though this is a different plan. He does not think it is to the level that we should accept. <br /> <br />Mr. Holloway stated that they would like to get the preliminary plat approval so they could get <br />started on plans and desigu before the final plat approval. They will commit to no two units <br />next to each other with the same brick; they will go to 8/12 pitch roofs, three different floor <br />plans, putting a dormer over the front entrance, and a different window treatment. <br /> <br />Richard Groce, 470 Victoria Lane, stated that multiple family dwelling was not appropriate for <br />this area. <br />
