A few other people spoke <br />of concerns about traffic, drainage, upkeep, property values and the type of people that a <br />project like this could bring. <br />Mr. Holloway spoke of the need of nice apartments in Mooresville to give people moving <br />into the area a place to rent while finding a home to buy or build. Also expressed that a <br />PUD would give more control then a R-3, he also stated that there is more then adequate <br />space for emergency equipment to turn around, but the could widen the drive if <br />necessary. <br /> <br />Steve Striebeck, spoke to say that he felt that as in other places this project would be an <br />asset to Mooresville. <br /> <br />Mr. Holloway, asked the board for a continuance to give them more time to come up with <br />changes to make the project more appealing to the board and residents. <br /> <br />Commissioner McGuire said that this project should be compatible to the neighborhood <br />and enhance it. <br /> <br />Commissioner Bryant said that he disagreed that Mooresville needs more apartments, he <br />stated that rental homes in the old part oftown grows by the day with rent at the price <br />range ofthese apartments. He fells that this kind of turn over is not for the town or <br />schools. <br /> <br />Commissioner Brown was asked if there could be a problem with getting a ladder truck <br />in the back, Commissioner Brown said yes there could be a problem. <br /> <br />A motion to deny the request to continue this rezone to a PUD- E was made by <br />Commissioner Williamson second Commissioner Bryant motion carried 9-0. <br /> <br />The next item on the agenda was Holloway for Brad Zike and Cheryl Andrews <br />requesting a 3-lot minor plat for the northeast corner of Allison and Western roads. <br /> <br />Mr. passed out a handout showing the configuration of the request, also Cheryl Edwards <br />explained that this had been in her family dating back to her grandparents. With no <br />questions from the audience, Chairman Young ask the board for any further questions. <br />Commissioner McGuire had a concern of the drive for lot 1, being with in the 78 feet. <br />Mr. Holloway said that another piece of property could be purchased to correct the road <br />frontage. <br /> <br />Commissioner McGuire motioned to accept this 3 lot minor plat, second by <br />Commissioner Ehrhart. The motion carried 9-0. <br /> <br />The seventh item was Holloway for Martin Witte for a 4-lot minor plat on the south side <br />of Dayhuff Road. Mr. Holloway passed out a hand out showing the minor plat. Mr. <br />Holloway said that lot I was 3 Y:z acres, lot 2 was almost 3 acres, lot 3 is 3 acres and lot 4 <br />
