MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF METROPOLITAN POLICE COMMISSIONERS <br /> SEPTEMBER 16, 1999 <br /> <br /> The Town of Mooresvdle Board of Metropolitan Police Commissioners met September 16, <br /> <br />1999 with board members Dr. Dennis Knierim, Dean Kays, Charles Berwwk and legal council <br /> <br />Timothy Currens being present. The meeting was called to order by Dr. Dennis Knierim. <br /> The minutes for August were approved. <br /> <br /> Under Old Business, Chief Vales gave an update on the hiring process, stating that the agility <br />test has been completed, and background checks will be next. An Executive Session was set for <br />October 20th at the Pohce Department to go over information recieved, and interviews will be <br />October 21st. <br /> <br /> Dr. Dennis Knienm advised that the commissioners had received a letter from an ind~idual <br />requesting to be added to the hiring procedure. Action was tabled until the next meeting. <br /> <br /> Sgt. Richard Allen gave a presentation on the F.T.O. Program. He explained that ali Training <br />Officers are volunteers, how much scheduling and training is involved, how evaluations are <br />done, and that the program is constantly being revamped for improvement. <br /> <br /> Under new business, Chief Viles advised Officer Collins had resigned for personal reasons. <br />Also that Officer Brad Yarneil was involved in an accident, he was not injured, but his car was <br />totaled <br /> <br /> From the floor, Brooklyn Town Marshal Dannie Davis introduced himself, stating that he was <br />the individual that had written the request for consideration to be added to the hiring list. <br /> <br /> There being no other business, the meeting was adjourned <br /> <br /> Dennis 1~.
