MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF METROPOLITAN POLICE COMMISSIONERS <br /> MAY 13, 1999 <br /> <br /> The Town of Mooresville Board of Metropolitan Police Commissioners met May 13, 1999 with <br /> Board members Dr. Dennis Knierim, Dean Kays, Charles Berwick and legal council Timothy C. <br /> Currens being present. The meeting was preceded with the pledge of allegiance, then called to <br /> order by Dr. Dennis Knierim. <br /> <br /> Charles Berwick made motion and was seconded by Dean Kays to approve the minutes of the <br /> last meeting. <br /> <br /> There was no old business. <br /> <br /> Under new business, Chief Il'des advised that Jeff Cook is now in his second week at the <br />Academy. Randy Rogers will be starting June 3rd He advised the Department had recieved a <br />letter of appreciation from Carpenter Better Homes and Gardens in reference to the professional <br />response to an alarm at that business. The written testing for the applicants for the new hiring list <br />has been set for May 22, 1999. He updated the commissioners on the progress of updating the <br />computer systems to be Y2K compliant. <br /> <br /> Dean Kays stated that they need to establish a schedule for working on the budget,, which <br /> <br />needs to be ready for the Town Council by June. <br /> The next meeting will be June lOth, 1999. <br /> <br /> There being no other business to come before the board, the meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br /> Denni~i ~ <br /> ~vick <br /> <br /> <br />
