Chief Viles submitted mileage surveys that were requested by the past commissioners in <br />regard~ to SOP #9, to change the personal use of Yehicles during off duty to encompass a <br /> <br />twenty mile radius of Mooresville instead ora county limit. He also requested a maximum <br />mileage limit per month be set. If the maximum is exceeded, he would require a written inner- <br />departmental explaining the excess miles. Violation two months in a row could result m the <br />vehicle being parked, utilizing a pool car. Tim Currens advised that the stipulation should be <br />added to the procedure. The maxim~m monthly mileage was set at twentyfive hundred. Dean <br />Kays made motion and was seconded by Charles Berwick that SOP #9, Vehicle Use Policy, be <br /> <br />adopted with changes noted, and maximun mileage added as # F. <br /> Under New Business: <br /> <br /> SOP 1.02 Disciplinary Procedure was tabled for revie~v by Tim Currens. Dean Kays request- <br />ed wording changed on Article 4. <br /> <br /> From the floor. Officer Snyder advised that eight stop sticks for the department have been <br />ordered.
