<br />r <br />'-- <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF METROPOLITAN POLICE COMMISSIONERS <br />FEBRUARY 17,2000 <br /> <br />The Town ofMooresvi//e Board of Metropolitan Police Commissioners met February I7, 2000 <br />with Board Members Dr. Dennis Knierim, Dean Kays, Charles Berwick and legal council <br />Timothy Currens being present. The meeting was called to order by Dr. Dennis Knierim. <br /> <br />The minutes were approved for the January meeting. <br /> <br />Under Old Business: <br />Police Chief Timothy Viles gave an update on new hire Bryan McGaughey, who will be <br />graduatingfrom the academy on March 24th, 2000. <br />The remodeling at the Police Department is nearing completion. The Town Council has <br />approved the amount of ten thousand dollars for the project <br />The new Police cars are in, and should be issued on the street in two weeks. <br /> <br />Five Year Plan." <br />Town Council President Mark Mathis spoke on two areas that he would like to see the <br />Department expand, which is Neighborhood Crime Watch, and Police Involvement in the <br />Community. <br /> <br />c <br /> <br />Dean Kays requested that plans and paperwork for the Reserve Program be wrapped up within <br />a month. <br /> <br />The next meeting will be March 16th, 2000. <br /> <br />Dean Kays made motion and was seconded by Charles Berwick to adjourn. <br /> <br />9~1~ <br />!D~ hI'--' <br /> <br />Dean Kays <br /> <br />c <br /> <br />tCfrNi? <br /> <br />harl Benvick <br />
