<br />Commissioner Williamson said he feels the same and there needs to more recreational <br />areas in the project. <br /> <br />Ms. Ladd, 274 Pineview Drive, was concerned about the added traffic into Grandview <br />and on Hadley Road. <br /> <br />Ms. Jessup said the family has lived here forever and they are concerned about <br />Mooresville. They feel this is going to be a very nice project and some of these concerns <br />are the same as those from the people on Johnson Road when Grandview was proposed. <br />She said the area is going to grow and she does not want the town to miss out on these <br />opportunities. She feels these people are willing to work with the commission and we <br />should give them a chance. Mr. Young said that they have expressed what they would <br />like to see in this project. <br /> <br />Commissioner Young asked the developer if they wanted a vote tonight or would they <br />like to continue this with some of their suggestions. Mr. Brehob said they would like to <br />continue to work on the Project. Mr. Young suggested they come back with a <br />clubhouse, common areas for parks, right-of-way issue for Hadley and lot size. Mr. <br />Quyle said he would like to meet with the County Engineer and Mr. Brehob on the right- <br />of way that would be needed in the future. <br /> <br />Curt Freeman, School Superintendent, said the school is not opposed to growth, but they <br />do have to deal with the students that they have. First the funding from the state today <br />makes it difficult to deal with growth. In the operational cost they do not receive full <br />credit for new students coming into our schools. Second point they are near capacity and <br />he is here tonight to be aware of what is being proposed along side the plan commission <br />with what is happening. Third an addition of this size would require them to build a new <br />school. They are waiting for an enrollment trigger to take them to and one is to add an <br />additional elementary school and a middle school. With the higher priced homes they <br />get fewer children, but it is hard to determine what the number of children will be. He <br />feels this is a nice community and appreciates the plan commission's efforts they are <br />putting into the detail of covenants and restrictions. <br /> <br />A motion to grant a continuance to the August meeting was made by Commissioner <br />Williamson, second by Commissioner Corbin. Motion carried 7-0. Mr. Currens said <br />that new notices would have to be sent. <br /> <br />Ross Holloway, Holloway Engineering, representing Mr. Hopkins with the final plat <br />approval for section two. Section one is the Crafton outlots on Hadley Road that are <br />exempt from the covenants and restrictions. This is a unique 1800"s village concept. <br />The infrastructure is in place and the boulevards, signs and landscaping will be in place <br />soon. The smaller lots are on the east side of Liberty Blvd, with the larger lots on the <br />west. They will have alley access and none of the garages will be visible from the street. <br />Section three includes the round about and the infrastructure is just about complete in that <br />section. <br /> <br />3 <br />
