February 26. 1998, at 7:00 P. M. at the Mooresville Town Hall. Conunission members present were: President Joel Beebe. Vern Khnmel. Bill Abbott. Steve Campbell, Jolm Elu'hart, *like Young. Tim Bennett. Charles McGuh'e, and Andy P3zmnan No members were absent. Motion was made by Conmtissioner Kinnnel, second by Conunissioner l:'3'~nan to approve the minutes of the January 26. 1998 meeting. Motion carded 9-0. First on tile agenda. Ross Hollowav of Hollowav & Associates presented the rezone from R-I to R-2 at 134 East .llain Street across fi'om C,'vstal Flash. The request was made for a bye family dwelling to be built on the site. This is a ~.'_, lot. 40 !~_, feet wide from \lain Street to the alley. Each unit would be 2 bedroom, xinyl siding, and would have 748 square feet to each unit. Cmmnissioner Ehrhart asked if the side entrance could be moved to the front of the building. The owners said ,,'es. Ihere would be parking spaces in the back. After much discussion, motion was made by Commissioner :llcGuire. second by Commissioner Ehrhart to recommend to the Town Council to den,,' the request for re-zoning..llotion carried 8-1 with Cmmnissioner Abbott opposed. *h'. Ross Holloway presented the request of Jim Remster. 601 Indianapolis Road. for a 4 Lot X Iinor Plat. Tlfis request is for tbur lots on m,'o acres. Also. a request for sewer hook-on and annexation into the Town. This property would need to be rezoned Ii'om A~m4cultur¢ to R-lB. .Xiotion was made by Commissioner Abbott. second bv Co~mnissioner Campbell to not consider the Minor Plat until re-zoning action was taken. Motion carried 9-0. Next on the agenda.
