Pac More to make a decision between the two properties. John said he certainly did not
have a problem with Holloway's proposal, so he is recommending using Holloway. A
lady from Pac More told the commission they are working with Holloway right now to
do a land study to see how much fill dirt would be needed. They really want to locate on
the Davee property, but fill dirt is an issue. Right now they are trying to decide if the
Davee property will work on should they go to the Field's property. They are committed
to be here in Mooresville, but there is nothing in writing. She said if it would make the
Redevelopment Commission feel more comfortable they could see about doing a letter of
memorandum. Commissioner Humes reminded the commission a letter had been
received in December from Pac More stating Mooresville was the chosen site. The Davee
Property has twenty -four buildable acres and the Field's site has probably forty buildable
acres. Pac More would rather not purchase the Field's property because they do not need
that much property.
The design itself would probably take about three weeks. Commissioner Ellis said if Pac
More is committed to one of the two properties then it would seem logical to go ahead
with approval of the bid. He said he would feel more comfortable with something in
writing as to their commitment. This could probably happen next week.
Commissioner Ellis made a motion with a second by Commissioner Haskins to accept the
bid from Ross Holloway, $2,800 to $4,300 depending on siding location and length.
Motion carried 4 -0.
A motion was made by Commissioner Ellis with a second by Commissioner Haskins to
adjourn the meeting.
