John spoke with Ginovus on the infrastructure for PacMoore and we are now looking to
bridge a gap of $138,000. If the Town pays $110,000 from Build Indiana Funds towards
the road PacMoore will cover the additional $28,000. The $70,000 we offered them at the
tail end for creation of ninety jobs, PacMoore will forego. If they do not create ninety
jobs the length of abatement can be reduced plus the commitment from the
Redevelopment Commission goes down $70,000. PacMoore is looking for the cash up
front. John Taylor told the commission his big concern right now is with the new
administration of the State they will ask for the Build Indiana money back. This money
was a traffic related grant and we would be using the money for infrastructure of a road.
Senator Bray has said we can spend this money. If the Town Council approves the
expenditure PacMoore will close on the property May 10, 2005. As the project stands
right now the Town will be putting in $110,000, Redevelopment Commission $325,000,
and the State of Indiana has committed to $182,500. The Redevelopment commitment
will be reduced if bid costs come in lower.
Chairman Nelson told the commission there were two areas he wanted to accomplish this
year. One was a thoroughfare plan and the other is a plan for streetscaping. John Taylor
will call someone at INDOT to get some information on a company that could be used to
do the study for a thoroughfare plan. Chairman Nelson wants this based on traffic and
development plans.
A motion was made by Mike Haskins with a second by Helen Hum adjourn the
ft meeting.
