484 <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Clark to do an appraisal of the Town buildings which allows <br /> for proof of loss. No second was forthcoming so the motion died. The Town will not re- <br /> appraise this year. <br /> <br /> Animal Control Ofricer Mark Taylor reported fifteen (15) calls, five (5) impounds, and one(l) <br /> returned. <br /> <br /> Clerk-Treasurer Sandra Perry announced the presentation ora Proclamation for 175th Birthday <br /> of the Town of Mooresville. This had been presented to the Town of Mooresville by Mr. <br /> McKenna, Dept. of Commerce. The proclamation xvas signed by the Governor of the State. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Warthen, second by Councilman Dolen to approve payment of <br /> the claims. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Council at this time, a motion was made by <br /> Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Clark to adjourn the meeting. <br /> <br /> The next meeting of the Mooresville Town Council xvill be held on Tuesday, April 6, 1999, at <br /> 6:30 P. Perry, Clerk-Treasurer <br /> <br /> April 6,1999 <br /> <br /> The MooresvilleTown Council met in regular session on Tuesday, April 6, 1999 at 6:30 P. <br /> M. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Town Council members present were: President Mark Mathis, Toby Dolen, John L. Clark, Tom <br /> Warthen, and Andy Pygman. Town Attorney Tim Currens was also present. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman Dolen to approve the <br /> minutes of the March 16, 1999 meeting. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br /> First on the agenda was Randy Pruden concerning the dust from the alley at Indianapolis Road <br /> going back to the cemetery. Pr6sident Mark Mathis asked who owned the alley and Mr. Pruden <br /> said he believed it was owned by the town. Mr. Pruden would like for the alley to be chipped <br /> and sealed or black topped, because the dust is intefering with the paint business he <br /> owns. President Mathis asked if Indianapolis Power and Light Co. used the alley to get to their <br /> substation and the owner of the building across the.street used the alley. Mr. Pruden said that <br /> was correct. Mr. Pmden had a map showing the alley at the comer of Indianapolis Road and ~_~ <br /> Main Street, Town attorney Tim Currens said he may have papers at his office showing the <br /> ownership of the alley. Mr. Currens said he could go to Martinsville and pull the plat and find <br /> who owned the alley. President Mark Mathis said they would check into the ownership of the <br /> property. This will be tabled to the April '20, 1999 meeting and will be discussed then. <br /> <br /> New Business was the Holloway - Weliever rezone. Town Attorney Tim Currens reported that <br /> the plan commission voted unanimous to rezone the property at the intersection of Old State <br /> Road 67 and State Road 67 fi.om Agric. to I-1. Councilman Pygman confirmed Mr. Currens <br /> report on the plan commission decision, Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by <br /> Councilman Clark to accept Ordinance #5 to rezone one acre of the Weliever property located <br /> on the east side State Road 67 at the junction of Old State Road 67. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br /> <br />
