435 <br /> <br /> Unfinished business was addressed by Mr. Don Enslcy concerning thc hook on lees for the <br /> Eternal Life Baptist Church on County Line Road which were set at fourteen thousand dollars <br /> ($14,000.00). Mr. Don Ensley asked how these fees were determined for lie thought they were <br /> rather high. President Mark Mathis stated the fees were set by Joe Beikman of Public Works and <br /> Mr. Ensley would have to discuss the fees xvith him Thc council discussed their concerns about <br /> crossing the county line, the possibility of further development in thc area and then later wishing <br /> to hook on to the older sewer lines. They were not sure the old lines could handle the added <br /> service. Motion was made by Councilman Warthen to deny tile sewer hook on by thc Eternal <br /> Life Baptist Church, the motion was seconded and motion carried 4-1, John L Clark abstained <br /> <br /> Police Commissioner Dr. Dennis Knicrim introduced newly appointed Patrohncn Jcl'f Cook to <br /> the council members. <br /> <br /> Street Commissioner Joe Bcik:nan reported last June Indianapolis l'owcr and Light Ct). <br /> <br /> introduced a new policy concerning installation of street lights. In the past street lights xvcrc <br /> installed free, now there is a fee of twelve hundred dollars ($1,200.00) per street light. <br /> Councilman Dolen suggested the developer should take care of installing street lights. Mr. <br /> Beikman said there was an ordinance that the developer was responsible for street lighting, but <br /> had not been enforced in the past. Mr. Beikman suggested that they should now enforce tile <br /> Ordinance. Mr. Beikman said, it was his understanding that if we used wood poles and existing <br /> poles, the light company would install the lights free. The street lights for Trinity Estates and <br /> Reeker run were tabled until April 20th meeting. Motion was made by Councilman Warthen, <br /> second by Councilman Clark to install street lights at tile corner of Johnson road and State <br /> Road 144, the light were to be installed on wooden poles. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br /> Councihnan Andy Pygrnan stated the present council was committed to installing six street light <br /> units on State Road 67, between the twin bridges and Poe's Restaurant, with SCREMC. The <br /> delay has been that REMC only had 175W units and they arc trying to match the 4tl0W units <br /> that IPALCO has on State Road 67, so they would all look alike. <br />[ Harold Gutzwiller presented a request by Sun Polymers tbr a refund of Seventy three thousand <br /> " three hundred fourteen dollars ($73,314.00), as per agreement for completion of sewer work, <br /> which has now been completed. The refund was to co,ne our of tile sewer Developer Availibity <br /> fund. Motion was made by Councilman Pygman, second by Councilman Dolcn to issue the <br /> refund for $73,314.00 to Sun Polymers Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br /> Mr. Gutzwiller presented to the Council a proposal for a Web Page for thc town. The proposed <br /> Web Page would cost nine thousand nine hundred fifty five dollars (,$9,955.00). He said lie had <br /> approached the local electric companies for financial assistance for the project. 1PALCO <br /> declined any assistance, but South Central REMC said they would donate five thousand dollars <br /> ($5,000.) for the project and with the money budgeted for this they would be able to pay for this <br /> project. <br /> He said he was still talking to other companies for assistance. 'File project would take two to <br /> three months to complete. President Mathis asked Harold to obtain a copy of a Town web site <br /> so the council could look at the web site and see what it looked like. The project was tabled <br /> until the April 20, 1999 meeting. <br /> <br /> Mr. Gutzwiller presented for G. R Woods the compliance with state~ncnt of benefits for tax <br /> abatement. He reported that they are in full compliance. Motion was made by Councilman <br /> Dolan, second by Councilman Clark that G. R. Woods tax abatement forms be approved. <br />[" ' Motion carried 4-1 with Councilman Pygman abstaining. <br />l~ . Mr. Gutzwiller presented for Woods Industries the co~npliance with statement of benefits lbr <br /> tax abatement. He reported that they were in full compliance. Motion was made by cou,~ciiman <br /> Dolen, second by Councilman Clark that Woods Industries tax abatement forms be approved. <br /> Motion carried 4-1. Councilman Pygman abstained. <br /> <br /> Mr. Gutzwiller presented for Molex Inc. the compliance with statement of benefits for tax <br /> abatement. He reported that they were in full compliance.
