N.I. at thc ['vlourcsvillc <br />Town Hall. <br /> <br />Council members present were: President Mark Mathis, Toby Dolcn, John L. Clink, Tom <br />Warthen, and Andy Pygman. No members were absent. Allotncv Steve l larris took lite place o1' <br />absent Town Attorney Tim Currcns. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman t)ygman to approve thc n~inulcs <br />of the previous meeting. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br />Mr. George Juretic spoke to the Council about the 2000 Census and thc importance ot' a good <br />count. The Census wants the Town to Partnership with them in efforts to accomplish this goal. <br />Each person counted is worth $360.00. President Matbis said the Council would discuss ami get <br />back in touch with him. <br /> <br />JeffBanning of Banning Engineering representing Mr. Brcxvster tbr a rezone t¥om R-1 <br />Lot 113, Brookmore Addn. stated to the Council Mr. Brewster requested to withdraw his <br />petition for rezone at this time. Motion ,,vas made by Councilman Dolcn, second by Councilmail <br />Pygman to accept the withdrawal of petition. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br />Next,Mr. Banning represented Tim Dunbar for rezone to R-2 lbr lots 22,23, and 24 Rcagans <br />Addn. Mr. Rick Lee spoke to the Council concerning bow many doubles on the property, l lc <br />thought the Plan Commission motion was for one double. Mr. Banning thought difibrent. <br />President Mark Mathis asked Council if they opposed tabling this to the next meeting on May <br />18, 1999. The Council agreed. This petition will be under unfinished business May 18, 1999. <br /> <br />Mike and Jenny Ragan requested sewer hook-on on l,andcrsdalc Rd In order to build a <br />home they had to do a 4 Lot Minor Plat. In order to meet thc requirements of thc Town <br />Ordinance they had to get permission for hook-on to the sanitary tbr three lots since they v,:ete <br />already hooked on at their present house. Motion was made by Councilman Dolcn, second by <br />Councilman Clark to approve this request. Motion carried 3 yes, I abstcnsion, and ! <br />Councilman Mathis voted no and Councilman Warthcn abstained. <br /> <br />The Swinney Excavating Developer Availability Agreement was tabled to May 18, 1999 <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councihnan Dolcn to approve the EDC Car <br />Lease at 24 payments of 383.42 for a 1999 Lumina. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilman Warthen, second by Councilman Dolcn to continue on wilh <br />Web Site for Town of Mooresville. Motion carried 4-1, with Councilman Pygman opposed. <br /> <br /> Councilman Warthen told the Council he had called Brown Township Trustee Al 1 lornaday and <br /> asked who the Governmental representative from Brown Township for the fact finding <br /> committee would be and Mr. Hornaday told him he would be the representative. Motion was <br /> made by Councilman Warthen, second by Councihnan Dolcn to appoint Mark Matbis to be the <br /> Town representative on the fact finding committee. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br /> President Mathis said he wanted the Council to write down on paper the list of sidewalks to be <br /> improved and give to Street Commissioner Joe Beikman. <br /> <br /> Legal: Motion was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councihnan Dolen to approve <br /> Resolution 5, 1999 setting new prices for digging graves. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman Dolen to approve the Grave <br /> Digger Contract for 1999. Motion carried 5-0 <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second for Councihnan l'ygman to approve Ordinance <br /> //7, 1999 requiring a vault be used for every burial.
