438 <br /> <br /> Two people from the Brookmore Addition appeared before the Council. Janice Norton had sent <br /> a letter dated 04-07-99 asking for consideration of the hook on fee. She said at the October <br /> meeting they were told hook on fee was $900.00. Then she found it for two units the fee was <br /> $1,800.00. Ron Hart appealed to the Council to make an adjustment to the payment for more <br /> than one unit. He said he would have to raise the rent on his properties to accomodate hook on <br /> price and the market couldn't stand this. The Town Council all agreed they could not stray from <br /> the Ordinance which states $900 per unit Hook-on fee. <br /> <br /> Animal Control Officer Mark Taylor reported twenty-six (26) calls, ten (10) inspections, and five ..__,' <br /> (5) returned. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman Warthen to approve closing of <br /> Main Street from Indiana Street to Clay Street on July 3, 1999 for the Town celebration. Motion <br /> carried 5-0. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Clark to approve an Ordinance <br /> to require a vault for each bm/al in the Mooresville Cemetery. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br /> The Grave Digger for the Mooresville Cemetery submitted his fees which had raised by $40.00 <br /> per grave. This item is tabled to the May 4, 1999 meeting in order for Attorney Currens to <br /> review the contract. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Clark to approve Ordinance//6, <br /> 1999, amending the Salary Ordinance to increase part time Court Clerk's salary by 3%. Motion <br /> carried 5-0. <br /> <br /> Councilman Warthen announced his committee researching the Town Manager position was <br /> ready for input from taxpayers. Residents may call Mary Jane Cheeseman, Martha Thompson, -~ <br /> or Tom Warthen. 1 <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Warthen, second by Councilman Dolen to approve payment of <br /> the claims. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Council at this time, motion was made by <br /> Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Clark to adjourn the meeting. <br /> <br /> The next meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be Tuesday, May 4, 1999, at 6:30 P.
