Perry, Clerk-Treasurer <br /> <br /> April 27, 1999 <br /> <br /> The Mooresville Town Council met on Tuesday, April 27, 1999, at 6:30 P. M. at the Mooresville <br /> Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Town Council members present were: President Mark Mathis, Toby Dolen, John L. Clark, Tom <br /> Warthen, Andy Pygmart, and Town Attorney Tim Currens. No Council members were absent. <br /> <br /> Brown Township Trustee Al Homaday spoke to the Council proposing a Task Force be <br /> appointed that included a member from each of the <br /> controlling <br /> Political <br /> bodies, <br /> the <br /> Fire <br /> Chief <br /> from each, one of the fire personnel from each body, and the meetings to be monitored. Mr. <br /> Homaday felt this necessary in an effort to lower the tax rate and get rid of duplications. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman Dolen to approve minutes of <br /> April 4, 1999 meeting. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br /> The Town Auction was discussed. It is to be held May 8th, 1999, at the Mooresville Town Park. <br /> Departments are to get items to Councilman Wanhen and Clerk-Treasurer to get a notice in the <br /> paper. <br /> <br /> Town Attorney Tim Currens informed the Council and Randy Pruden he pulled the Plat Books <br /> and the alley next to Randy Pruden's business does not belong to the Town of Mooresville. <br /> Attorney Currens said there is a rectangle gap that doesn't go all the way to the street. It's an <br /> easement for the adjoining property owners. He said generally this is split between the two <br /> property owners. Mr. Currens told Randy Pruden he would show the drawing to him after thc <br /> meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br /> Next on the agenda was the Web page for the Town. Councilman Dolen said he talked to some <br /> individuals who design web pages and they said the price of $9,955.00 was not a bad price. <br /> Councilman Warthen said he liked the Columbus .Web page and he wants the EDC Director to <br /> talk to who designed that page and report back at the next Town Council meeting. <br /> <br /> Next, the Town Council discussed the draw submitted for payment for $8,000.00 from Top to <br /> Bottom for the Animal Control Shelter. Councilman Pygman said he thought the roof should be <br /> on for $8,000. Councilman Dolen said the trusses were set and one half of the decking was put <br /> on this very day. Motion was made by Councilman Warthen,second by Councilman Dolen to <br /> approve the $8,000 draw to be paid for the next Council meeting on May 4, 1999. Motion <br /> carried 3 to 1. Councilman Mathis opposed and Councilman Pygrnan abstained. <br /> <br /> President Mathis announced he wanted all Departments to report in Writing to the Council by <br /> the next meeting May 4, 1999 if their computers are 2000 ready. <br /> <br /> Street Commissioner Joe Beikman asked the Council if they had a list of places sidewalks were <br /> needed. President Mathis asked the Council to bring a list to the next meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
