. 04 January 10, 2001 The Mooresville Town Council met in special session on Wednesday, January 10, 2001, at 9:00 A. M. at the Mooresville Town Hall. Council members present: President Tom Warthen, Andy Pygman, John L. Clark, Toby Dolen, and Mark Mathis. Town attorney Tim Currens was present. President Warthen explained the purpose of meeting was for the council to give permission to "~ advertise for a new economic director. Motion was made by Councilman Mathis, second by Councilman Dolen to give permission to advertise for an EDC director. Motion carried 5-0. Councilman Maths handed out a job description for the advertising .stating resumes were due in to the Town Hall by January 26, 2001. Advertising is to be placed in the Mooresville Times, Martinsville Reporter, Indianapolis Star, and Blast Fax from Indiana Economic Development Association. Councilman Mathis and Councilman Dolen are the commissioners for EDC and are to review the resumes and prepare a short list for the council meeting on February 6, 2001. Then council will begin executive sessions. All council members agreed the advertisement should read; salary commiserate with experience and qualifications. There being no further business to come before the council at this time, a motion was made by Councilman Mathis, second by Councilman Dolen to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 5-0 Tom Warthen, President ATTEST: January 16, 2001 The Mooresville Town Council met in regular session on Tuesday, January 16, 2001, at 6:30 P. M. at the Mooresville Town Hall. Town Council members present were: President Tom Warthen, Andy Pygman, John L. Clark, Toby Dolen, and Mark Maths. No members were absent. Town attorney Tim Currens was present~ ........... Motion was made by Councilman Pygman, second by Councilman Dolen to approve the minutes of December 28, 2000, and January 2, 2001. Motion carried 5-0. Tony Perry, Perry Excavating, and Roger Caperton from Mooresville Partners appeared before the council to request closing Bridge Street at night during the week to make a street cut between Conduitt Drive and Highway 67. Street Commissioner Joe Beikman told them he preferred 8 inches concrete and 4 inches asphalt, that they needed to contact the newpapers and radio when they were sure of a date, and they needed to post a bond. Motion was made by Councilman Pygrnan, second by Councilman Clark to approve closing of Bridge Street between 9:00 P. M. and 6:00 A. M. during the week for a street cut one halfway between Conduitt Drive and Highway 67. Motion carried 5-0.
