July 3, 1990 The regular scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Town Council was held Tuesday, July 3 1990 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mooresville Town Hall. ' Council members present were Dick Heald, Pat Overholser, Steve Ballard and Steve Edwards. Councilman Jack Forbes was absent. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as submitted. Motion was made by Councilwoman Overholser and second by Council- man Ballard to accept Ordinance #9-1990 on the first reading. Motion carried unanamously. Motion was made by Councilwoman Overholser and second by Council- man Ballard to approve Ordinance #9-1990 an Ordinance to rezone 3.82 acres of land commonly known as the intersection of Bridge Street and State Road 67 from agriculture to General Business. Motion carried unanamously. EDC Director Randy Haymaker advised the Council that the town was billed $2,282.00 for the legal fees from Bakers & Daniels for their work on the food and beverage tax legislation. Motion was made by Councilman Heald and second by Councilwoman Overholser to approve the bills and claims. Motion carried unanamously. There being no further business to come before the Mooresville Town Council at this time motion to adjourn was made by Councilman Heald, second by Councilman Ballard. Motion carried unanamously. Council members present were Pat Overholser, Steve Ballard and Steve Edwards. Council members absent were Jack Forbes and Dick Heald. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as submitted. Sandy Lundy, 324 Northeast Street, Mooresville, Indiana inquired as to why the town paid George and Roscoe Fields $8,500 in June 1990. Town attorney Tim Currens explained to Ms. Lundy that the payment was for sewer easements on the Fields property. Council President Steve Edwards asked the Council if they would be in favor of asking the Morgan County Council, by letter, to consider enacting a county tax rate to help finance the three senior centers in Morgan County. Motion was made by Councilwoman Overholser and second by Councilman Ballard to have the Mooresville Town Council write a letter to the Morgan County Council urging them to enact a county tax rate to help finance the three senior centers in Morgan County. Motion carried unanamously.
