Mr. Dave Rihm of the Knights of Columbus appeared before the Council <br />to request a roadblock for the Knights of Columbus' annual Tootsie Roll <br />Drive on May 5, 1990. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Forbes and second by Councilwoman <br />Overholser to approve a roadblock for the Knights of Columbus for May <br />5, 1990. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Margaret Cummins~ 47 E. Harrison Street appeared before the Council <br />requesting a designated handicap parking space be placed in front of her <br />home. Mrs. Cummins indicated to the Council that here husband is handi- <br />capped and they have been issued a handicapped license plate. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilwoman Overholser to approve Mrs. Margaret <br />Cummins request for a handicap parking place. Councilman Forbes second. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Forbes and second by Councilwoman Overholser <br />to approve the second reading of Ordinance #1-1990 An Ordinance amending <br />Ordinance #/4-1989. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Forbes, second by Councilwoman Overholser <br />to approve the contract with the Mooresvile Senior Center for 1990 in the <br />amount of $5,000.00 Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilwoman Overholser, second by Councilman Forbes <br />to approve the second reading of Ordinance #2-1990 an Ordinance prohibiting <br />parking on the west side of Maple Lane between East Washington Street and <br />the first east-west alley. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Steve Orme, the Wast Water Treatment Superintendent appeared before the <br />Council for approval to purchase a used generator from Cummins Mid-state <br />in the amount of $58,000.00 <br /> <br /> Clerk-Treasurer Ann Whaley, asked approval to finance the generator through <br />the Indiana Bond Bank through the lease purchase plan. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilwoman Overholser and second by Councilman <br />Forbes to purchase the used generator from Cummins Mid-State in the amount <br />of $58,000.00 and finance the purchase through the Indiana Bond Bank. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Economic Development Commission Director Randy Haymaker informed the <br />Council that the Mooresville Redevelopment Board held it's organizational <br />meeting January 9, 1990. Mr. Haymaker also advised the Council that the <br />hearing for the Mooresville Food and Beverage Tax would be held by the State <br />Legislature Ways and Means Committee later this week. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Forbes to pay the bills and claims. Council- <br />woman Overholser second. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Mooresville Town <br /> Council at this time Councilman Forbes made a motion to adjourn. Council- <br /> woman Overholser second.
