Clerk-Treasurer Ann Whaley advised the Council of the possibility t~at it may become necessary for the town to borrow money for the general fund for due to the late distribution of property tax settlem~_nt which has been caused by the reassessment. Motion to pay the bills and claims was made by Councilman Forbes, second by Councilwoman Overholser. Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Mooresville Town Council at this time motion to adjouzn was made by Councilw~mn Overholser, Councilman Forbes second. Motion carried. The next regular meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be held T~esday, March 6, 1990, at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall.. A2TEST: Clerk-Treasurer March 6, 1990 The ~.regular meeting of the Mooresville Town Council was held Tuesday, March 6, 1990 at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall. Council members present were Dick Heald, Pat Overholser, Steve Ballard, Jack Forbes and Steve Eck~rds. No members were absent. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as submitted. Larry Mmnzer of the Mooresville Little !mague requested permission to hold the annual Little League Baseball Parade April 18, 1990, at 9:00 a.m. Motion was made by Councilman Heald and second by Councilwoman Overholser to approve this request. Motion carried. A request was made by the Easter Seal Society to hold a roadblock for Easter Seals April 21, 1990. The necessary insurance papers were presented to the council. Motion was made by C~ncilw~nan Overholser and second by Councilman Forbes to approve this request. Motion carried. Larry Beard of VFW Post 1111, requested permission to hold a roadblock for VFW Poppy Day on May 12, 1990. The necessary insurance forms will be filed in the Clerk's office prior to May 12, 1990. Motion was made by Councilman Forbes and second by Councilman Heald to approve this request. Motion carried. Bill Thommson of the V~ appeared before the Council to receive confirmation of the VFW Loyalty Day Parade to be held April 28, 1990 at 1:00 p.m. Council President Edwards a-m~ed Mr. Thompson that the Loyalty Day Parade was on the Town calender. Councilwoman Overholser requested that the Council not permit a roadblock on June 2, 1990 due to High School graduation. Motion was made by Councilnmn Forbes and second by Om. mcilman Heald to approve this request. I,~tion carried. Town attorney Tim Currens opened bids for a B~ .... for the Town. Bids were received from Bright Equipment, Inc. and Rudd Equipment Co. Motion was made by ~cilwoman Overholser and second by Councilman Forbes to table award- ing t~he Bobcat bid until the March 20, 1990, meeting. Motion carried.
