Clerk-Treasurer Ann Whaley advised the Council of the possibility t~at <br /> it may become necessary for the town to borrow money for the general fund for <br /> due to the late distribution of property tax settlem~_nt which has been caused <br /> by the reassessment. <br /> <br /> Motion to pay the bills and claims was made by Councilman Forbes, second <br /> by Councilwoman Overholser. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Mooresville Town Council <br /> at this time motion to adjouzn was made by Councilw~mn Overholser, Councilman <br /> Forbes second. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> The next regular meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be held <br /> T~esday, March 6, 1990, at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall.. <br /> <br /> A2TEST: <br /> <br /> Clerk-Treasurer <br /> <br /> March 6, 1990 <br /> <br /> The ~.regular meeting of the Mooresville Town Council was held Tuesday, <br /> March 6, 1990 at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Council members present were Dick Heald, Pat Overholser, Steve Ballard, <br /> Jack Forbes and Steve Eck~rds. No members were absent. <br /> <br /> The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as submitted. <br /> <br /> Larry Mmnzer of the Mooresville Little !mague requested permission to <br /> hold the annual Little League Baseball Parade April 18, 1990, at 9:00 a.m. <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald and second by Councilwoman Overholser to <br /> approve this request. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> A request was made by the Easter Seal Society to hold a roadblock for Easter <br /> Seals April 21, 1990. The necessary insurance papers were presented to the <br /> council. Motion was made by C~ncilw~nan Overholser and second by Councilman <br /> Forbes to approve this request. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Larry Beard of VFW Post 1111, requested permission to hold a roadblock for <br />VFW Poppy Day on May 12, 1990. The necessary insurance forms will be filed <br />in the Clerk's office prior to May 12, 1990. Motion was made by Councilman <br />Forbes and second by Councilman Heald to approve this request. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Bill Thommson of the V~ appeared before the Council to receive confirmation <br />of the VFW Loyalty Day Parade to be held April 28, 1990 at 1:00 p.m. Council <br />President Edwards a-m~ed Mr. Thompson that the Loyalty Day Parade was on the <br />Town calender. <br /> <br /> Councilwoman Overholser requested that the Council not permit a roadblock <br />on June 2, 1990 due to High School graduation. Motion was made by Councilnmn <br />Forbes and second by Om. mcilman Heald to approve this request. I,~tion carried. <br /> <br /> Town attorney Tim Currens opened bids for a B~ .... for the Town. Bids <br />were received from Bright Equipment, Inc. and Rudd Equipment Co. Motion was <br />made by ~cilwoman Overholser and second by Councilman Forbes to table award- <br />ing t~he Bobcat bid until the March 20, 1990, meeting. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />
