Motion was made by Councilman Forbes and second by Councilwoman Overholser to pay the bills and claims. Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Mooresville Town Council at this time Councilman Heald made a motion to adjourn. Councilman Ballard second. Motion carried. President ATTEST: Clerk-Treasurer~ Febm3~ry 20, 1990 The regular meeting of the Mooresville Town Council was held Tuesday, February 20, 1990 at the Mooresville Town Hall at 7:30 p.m. Council nmmbers present were Pat Overholser, Steve Ballard, Jack Forbes and Steve Edwards. Councilman DickHealdwas absent. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as submitted. Prosecutor Jane Craney appeared before the council to ask pennission to use the Town Court for small claims court in the event Mrs. Craney is elected County Court Judge. Cemetery Sexton Ed Bucker asked the Council to advertise for bids for mowing the town cemeteries for 1990. Attorney Tim Currens stated hewould take care of the advertisement. Motion carried. Motion was made by Councilwoman Overholser and second by Councilman Forbes to Adopt Ordinance #4-1990 An Ordinance Annexing Adjacent and Contiguous Territory to the Civil Town of Mooresville on the first reading. Motion carried. Motion carried. Econcmic Development Director Randy Haymaker advised the Council of the progress of the Redevelopment Cu~,~ission. Mr. Haymaker also gave a report on the status of the Food and Beverage Tax legislation. The possibility of constructing a pitch roof over the police department was discussed. Council President Edwards will investigate the possibility of this project.
