The following bids for sidewalk construction were opened: D. R. Childs Corp. $28,872.00 Kenneth Smock Company $ 31,000. O0 Motion was made by Councilman Ballard and second by Councilwoman Overholser to table awarding the sidewalk bids until the July 16, 1991 Town Council meeting. Motion carried unanamously. Motion was made by Councilwoman Overholser and second by Councilman Edwards to approve payment of H. J. Umbaugh and HNTB for services obtained for investi- gation of the water utility. These payments are to be paid from Food and Beverage Tax revenue. Motion carried unanamously. Mr. William Abbott, town engineer, advised the Council that the plan commission has not had a full board present for several months. Due to the importance of this board Mr. Abbott asked the town attorney if he could send a letter to members which are continually absent advising them of the importance of their attendance to the plan commission meetings and asking them if they plan on fulfilling their duties as appointees to the plan commission. The Town Attorney will take care of this correspondence. Motion was made by Councilman Ballard and second by Councilwoman Overholser to approve swimming pool fill exemptions for Dennis and Hollie Collier, 443 Tulip Drive, Mooresville and Mark A. Classich, 71 Sweetwood Drive, Mooresville. Motion carried unanamously. The Council approved advertising the 1992 budget estimates as submitted. It was decided to raise the pay of the Wastewater Treatment Plant Superintendent and the Fire Chief to the same base pay as the Street Superintendent and Police Chief for 1992. Motion was made by Councilman Edwards and second by Councilman Forbes to increase the base pay of town employees 2% of the average salary for 1992. Motion carried unanamously. Motion was made by Councilman Edwards and second by Councilman Forbes to approve the bills and claims. Motion carried unanamously. There being no further business to come before the Council at this time Councilman Edwards made a motion to adjourn, Councilwoman Overholser second. Motion carried unanamously. The next regular meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be held Tuesday, July 16, 1991 at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall. P[esident ATTEST: Clerk-Treasurer July 16, 1991 The regular meeting of the Mooresville Town Council was held Tuesday, July 16, 1991 at the Mooresville Town Hall at 7:30 p.m. Council members present were Pat Overholser, Steve Edwards, Jack Forbes and Steve Ballard. Council President Dick Heald was absent. In the absence of President Heald, Vice-President Ballard chaired the meeting. Mr. Mark Peden appeared before the Council representing Darrell Swinney in regard to Mr. Swinney's proposed 17 acre subdivision being allowed to brook- on to the municipal sewer system. Chairman Ballard polled the Council in regard to this matter. The Council unanamously agreed to allow Mr. Swinney s~wer access for the proposed subdivision. Mr. Gordon Gamble, 565 Arlington Drive appeared before the Council to sub-- mit a claim for sewer damange to his home which occurred December 30, 19~0.
