111 Economic Development Director Randy Haymaker advised the Council that Ambassador Steele received their desired zoning from the Morgan County Commissioners on the property south of town. Council President Heald appointed Fire Chief Darrell Brown and Street Superintendent Joe Beikman to a committee to collect money for flags to be flown in town in honor of our service men in the middle east. Town Judge Paul Sterrett advised the Council on Trial Law 77 a new f~le structure which has been implemented by the court. Motion was made by Councilman Edwards and second by Councilman Forbes to ~Pay the bills and claims. Motion carried unanamously. There being no further business to come before the Council at this time motion to adjourn was made by Councilman Forbes and second by Councilman Overholser. Motion carried unanamously. The next regular meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be Tuesday, March 5, 1991 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mooresville Town Hall. P~esident ATTEST: Clerk-Treasurer ~ March 6, 1991 The regular meeting of the Mooresville Town Council was held Tuesday, March 6, 1991 at 7:30 p.m. at Mooresville Town Hall. Council members present were Steve Edwards, Pat Overholser, Steve Ballard, Jack Forbes and Dick Heald. No councilmembers were absent. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as submitted. Mr. Joe Neal addressed the council in regard to the town policy of seeking public doc~nents in writing. Town attorney Tim Currens advisedMr. Neal that the policy was to insure the people requesting information received the information in a timely manner. Motion was made by Councilman Ballard and second by Councilwoman Overholser to approve the grave digging contract for 1991. Motion carried unanamously. Motion was made by Councilman Edwards and second byCouncilmanForbes to approve Ordinance #5-1991 An Ordinance vacating a public way. Motion carried unanamously. Motion was made by Councilwoman Overholser and second byCouncilman Ballard to approve Ordinance #6-1991 An Ordinance Rezoning land Within the Town of Mooresville Upon the Application of G.R. Wood, Inc. This property was rezoned to an industrial 1 classification. Motion carried unanamously. Motion was made by Councilman Ballard and second byCouncilwoman Overholser to name the first east-west alley north of Washington Street Lincoln Lane for the purpose of allowing the post office to assign adresses to the homes located on this alley. Council members Edwards, Ballard, Overholser and Heald voted in favor. Councilman Forbes abstained. Motion was made by Councilman Edwards and second by Councilwoman Overholser to approve the agreement with HNTB for the West Side Sewer Extension Project. Motion carried unanamously.
