113 <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Edwards and second by Councilman Forbes <br /> to table awarding the cemetary mowing bids until the next meeting. Motion <br /> carried unanamously. <br /> <br /> Mr. Victor V. Tryon of the Merchant Marine Veterans of Indiana WW II asked <br /> the Council for a donation for a Merchant. Marine plaque which will be placed <br /> i.n~the I.ndiana. Wa_r Memorial Building in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Council <br /> w~.l contact the State Board of Accounts for approval to make such a con- <br /> tribution before making a decision on this matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Steve Campbell, 950 Edgewood Drive, advised the Council that he feels <br /> that companies which are granted tax abatements should be mandated to submit <br /> a yearly report to insure that they are fulfilling the mandates of the abatement. <br /> Council attorney Tim Currens advised Mr. Campbell that the town has not issued <br /> any tax abatements. <br /> <br /> Mr. Campbell also inquired as to when the Town Council would approve the <br /> extended buffer zone. Mr. Currens advised Mr. Campbell that the buffer zone is <br /> under the jurisdication of the Plan Commission. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilwoman Overholser and second by Councilman Edwards <br /> to approve a Resolution for the Town of Mooresville to give the Clerk-Treasurer <br /> authorization to execute for and on behalf of the Town Council a Membership <br /> Agreement with IPEP. Motion carried unanamously. <br /> <br /> Councilman Edwards asked the town attorney to review the town sewer rate <br /> ordinance to see if there is a possibility for the town to allow lawn sprinkling <br /> exemptions on sewer bills. <br /> <br /> The Council decided to obtain two appraisals on the Testerman property, <br /> which is located at the west end of Harrison Street, to enable the Council to <br /> evaluate the possibility of purchasing this property. <br /> <br /> Motion to pay the bills and claims was made by Councilman Edwards, second <br /> by Councilman Ballard. Motion carried unanamously. <br /> <br /> /here being no further business to come before the Council at this time <br /> motion to adjourn was made by Councilman Forbes, second by Councilwoman Overholser. <br /> Motion carried unanamously. <br /> <br /> /he next regular meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be held <br /> Tuesday, April 2, 1991 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br /> President <br /> <br /> ATTEST: <br /> <br /> Clerk-Treasurer <br /> <br /> April 2, 1991 <br /> <br /> /he regular meeting of the Mooresville Town Council was held Tuesday, <br />April 2, 1991 at 7: 30 p.m. at Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Council members present were Steve Edwards, Jack Forbes, and Steve Ballard. <br />Councilmembers absent were Pat Overholser and Dick Heald. In the absence of <br />President Heald, Vice President Ballard chaired the meeting. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Edwards and second by Councilman Forbes to <br />approve the minutes of the previous meeting as submitted.
