'174 <br /> <br /> The Council approved replacing security lights on Lincoln <br /> Lane at the first intersection west of Maple Lane and at Northridge <br /> Drive and Monroe Street with street lights. <br /> <br /> The Council asked Street Commissioner Joe Beikman to verify <br /> that a light across from the Church of God on East Main Street is a <br /> security light, before they approve a street light in that location. <br /> <br /> It was reported that the animal control officer received nine <br /> (9) calls and impounded five (5) animals. <br /> <br /> Motion to pay the bills and claims was made by Councilman <br /> Viles and second by Councilwoman Overholser. No members were absent. <br /> <br /> Town attorney, Tim Currens opened the only bid for the fire <br /> apparatus from Pierce in the amount of $182,225.85. <br /> <br /> After a short recess to review the bid Fire Chief Darrell <br /> Brown recommended to the Council to accept the bid from Pierce. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald and second by Councilwoman <br /> Overholser to accept the bid from Pierce for the Fire apparatus <br /> in the amount of $182,225.85 contingent on the approval of Town <br /> Attorney Tim Currens. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Town Attorney Tim Currens advised the Council that Holloway Land <br /> Surveyors had requested permission for the 1.217 acres on St. Rd. 144 <br /> across from Rooker Trace Subdivision be allowed to hook a multi- <br /> family housing unit on the municipal sewer system. The Council <br /> advised that Waste Water Treatment Superintendent Steve Orme and the <br /> Sewer Collection manager Joe Beikman address this request. <br /> <br /> The Council approved the release of funds from Rooker Trace <br /> Subdivision, Section 1 subject to the approval of Street Superintendent <br /> Joe Beikman. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Edwards and second by Councilwoman <br /> Overholser to amend the Ordinance #25-1992 the Town of Mooresville <br /> Salary Ordinance to read Assistant Street Superintendent $29,785.60. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
