177 <br /> <br /> January 19, 1993 <br /> <br /> The Mooresville Town Council met in Executive session on <br /> Tuesday, January 19, 1993 at 6:30 p.m. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Council members present were Tim Viles, Steve Edwards, Dick <br /> Heald, Pat Overholser and Steve Ballard. No members were absent. <br /> <br /> The Council heard the appeal of firefighter Kevin Schulteis <br /> in regard to diciplinary action taken against him. <br /> <br /> 'Pre~ident <br /> ATTEST: <br /> <br /> Clerk-Treasure~ <br /> <br /> January 19, 1993 <br /> <br /> The regular meeting of the Mooresville Town Council was held <br /> Tuesday, January 19, 1993 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Council members present were Tim Viles, Steve Edwards, Dick <br /> Heald, Pat Overholser and Steve Ballard. No Council members were absent. <br /> <br /> The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as submitted. <br /> <br /> Mr. Frank Clark, President of the Girls Softball League appeared <br /> before the Council to request permission to hold a parade for the open- <br /> ing of the girls softball league on Saturday, May 1, 1993 at 8:00 a.m. <br /> The parade would go west on Main Street from the Church of God to <br /> Monroe Street, north on Monroe to Memorial Drive and end at the <br /> softball diamonds. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Edwards and second by Councilwoman <br /> Overholser to approve the request for a parade for the girls softball <br /> league on the condition the league submits a proof of liability <br /> insurance and notifies the chief of police. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> The Council signed the Cemetery Grave Diggers contract which had <br /> been approved at the previous meeting. <br /> <br /> Town Attorney Tim Currens read Ordinance #1-1993 A Fair Housing <br />Ordinance by title. The Council will act on said ordinance at the <br />next meeting. <br /> <br /> Council President Steve Ballard appointed Arthur Raney to the <br />Mooresville Plan Commission. <br /> <br /> Town Attorney Tim Currens read Ordinance #2-1993 An Ordinance <br />R~gulating the Maintenance of Real Property in the Town of Mooresville <br />by title. The Council will act on said ordinance at the next meeting. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald and second by Councilwoman <br />Overholser to allow the Humane Society to hold a roadblock on <br />Saturday, April 24, 1993 and Saturday, October 9, 1993 at the request <br />of Mr. Stuart Ruona. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Council President Ballard read a letter the Council will send <br />to the Chamber of Commerce Emergency Service Committee stating <br />the Council's appreciation for the Committee's findings and informing <br />them the Council's intent to pursue their findings. <br /> <br /> Councilman Edwards requested that the Town Attorney write a letter <br /> <br /> <br />
