2O7 <br /> <br /> Street Superintendent Joe Beikman informed the Council that he <br />had been asked to inquire into the possibility of making the first <br />north-south alley west of Indiana Street one way from South Street <br />to High Street. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald, second by Councilman <br />Edwards to table the one way alley request until a later date. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald, second by Councilman Viles <br />to allow Economic Development Director Randy Haymaker to investigate <br />the possibility of the Town receiving a REA loan to finance a <br />sewer expansion on the east side of State Road 67 south to Ambassador <br />Steele. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Viles, second by Councilman <br />Edwards to award the contract for the south sewer line extension <br />to Poe's Cafeteria to Reynold's Contractor's Inc. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Animal Control Officer Mark Taylor reported he had nineteen <br />(19) calls, six (6) animals impounded, three (3) animals returned <br />to owners. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Edwards, second by Councilman <br />Viles to approve the bills and claims. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Mooresville <br />Town Council at this time, motion to adjourn was made by Councilman <br />Heald, second by Councilman Viles. No members were absent. <br /> <br /> The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as submitted. <br /> <br /> Mr. Frank Clark of the Mooresville Girls Softball league <br /> appeared before the Council requesting a parade for the opening <br /> of the girls softball league on Saturday, April 30, 1994 at 8:00 a.m. <br /> Mr. Clark has confirmed the parade route with Mooresville Police <br /> Chief Ditton. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald, second by Councilman <br /> Edwards to approve a parade for the Mooresville Girls Softball <br /> league on Saturday, April 30, 1994 at 8:00 a.m. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Mr. David Rihm of the St. Thomas More Knights of Columbus <br /> appeared before the Council requesting to hold a roadblock on <br /> Saturday, May 7, 1994 for their annual Tootsie Roll Drive. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Edwards, second by Councilman <br /> Heald to allow the St. Thomas More Knights of Columbus to hold a <br /> roadblock on Satnrday, May 7, 1994. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
