249 <br /> <br /> Economic Development Director Randy Haymaker advised the <br />Council that Woods Wire Corporation, a company trying to locate <br />in Mooresville, will be making a preliminary application for a <br />state infrastructure grant within the next two weeks. The grant <br />will be paid to the Town for necessary infrastructure for the <br />site for Woods Wire. It is necessary for the Council to appoint <br />a signatory for grant application. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Viles, second by Councilwoman <br />Overholser to appoint Clerk-Treasurer Ann Whaley the signatory <br />on the preliminary grant application for the Woods Wire Infrastructure <br />Grant. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Randy Haymaker announced he will be leaving his job as <br />Economic Development Director for the Town of Mooresville <br />effective February 20, 1995. <br /> <br /> President Heald appointed Councilman Viles, Councilwoman <br />Overholser, Town attorney Tim Currens and Clerk-Treasurer <br />Ann Whaley to a committee to develop a process to appoint an <br />Economic Development Committee. <br /> <br /> Animal Control Officer Mark Taylor reported he had thirty-one <br /> (31) calls, fourteen (14) animals impounded and four (4) animals <br /> returned to their owners. <br /> <br /> Police Chief Tim Viles asked the Council to allow him to <br /> investigate the possibility of Animal Control Officer Mark Taylor <br /> attending the law Enforcement Academy. The Council concurred. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Wright, second by Councilwoman <br /> Overholser to approve the bills and claims. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> The Council will meet in executive session Monday, February 20, <br /> 1995 at 6:30 p.m. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Council <br /> at this time, motion to adjourn was made by Councilman Viles, <br /> second by Councilman Pygman. <br /> <br /> The Mooresville Town Council will meet in executive session <br /> Monday, February 20, 1995 at 6:30 p.m. in the Mooresville Town <br /> Hall.
