Animal Control Officer Mark Taylor reported 24 (twenty-four) calls, <br /> 5 (five) impounded, and 2 (two) returned. <br /> <br /> Park Superintendent Brent Callahan reported the paving at the park was <br /> completed. <br /> <br /> The rent lease at Pioneer Pointe for JuDge Sterretts Chambers ends <br /> on June 30, 1996. The Clerk-Treasurer will ask Richard Newcomer <br /> for permission to remain at Pioneer Pointe until September. <br /> <br /> >~otion was made by Councilman Hensley,second by Councilman Wright <br /> to approve a one-time sewer exempt for a swimming pool fill for <br /> Joyce and Dorothy Spencer, 1073 Westwood Drive. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Cemetery Sexton Ed Bucker reported one of the persons who had <br /> vandalized the Cemetery in 1991 has spent one year jail sentence, <br /> six months in a detention center, and has paid back $1890 (one <br /> thousand eight hundred and ninety) dollars of the $7500 (seven <br /> thousand five hundred dollars) of restitution. Ed Bucker suggested <br /> that maybe a recommendation be given to the Judge for this young <br /> man to work in the Cemetery to pay back the remaining $5,000 (five <br /> thousand dollars). The intent in 1991 was for the persons to learn <br /> respect for the people and the Community. The Town Council agreed <br /> to the recommendation. <br /> <br /> A discussion was held concerning Old St. Rd. 67 and Indianapolis <br /> Road intersection. Motorists are using a commercial driveway <br /> access to exit instead of the proper street. The motorists are <br /> not yielding. A stop sign at the end of this driveway was suggested. <br /> Attorney Currens suggested a letter of courtesy to the property <br /> owner asking permission to install a stop sign. <br /> <br /> !'{otion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Wright to <br /> approve the payment of the bills. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Council at this <br /> time, motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman <br /> Hensley to adjourn the meeting.
