Motion was made by Councilman Wright, second by Councilman Dolen to Salary Ordinance #~0, 1996 for 1997 at first reading. Motion carried 3-1 with Councilman Pygman abstaining. Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Wright to approve Ordinance # 11 1996 for 15 minute parking on Jefferson Street next to the Police Station at first reading. Motion carried unanimously. Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Wright to approve Town Attorney, Tim Curren's contract for 1997. The contract is the same as in 1996. Motion carried unanimously. Motion was made by Couu~i~m.an Dolen, second by Councilman Wright to approve Ordinance~ ~,-'5996 at the final reading. Motion carried unanimously. [ 0~_/~' Council President Mark Mathis announced there have been approximately twenty (20) resumes received for the position of EDC Director. The deadline was December 13, 1996. Animal Control Office, Mark Taylor reported fourteen (14) calls, five (5) impounded, and one (1) returned. His year end report consisted of : 590 calls, 181 impounds, and 64 returns. The Park Department received approval from the State Board of Tax Commissioners for an additional appropriation for $75,000.00. Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Wright to declare the Money Market Acct. #15245325 of $38,359.42 and the Sewer Depreciation Fund of $13,839.64 dormant and put these amounts into the Sewer Cash Operating. Motion carried unanimously. Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Wright to approve the final reading of Ordinance #11, Salary Ordinance 1997. Motion carried unanimously. Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Pygman to approve the payment of the bills. Motion carried unanimously. There being no further business to come before the Council at this time, Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Wright to adjourn the meeting.
