369 <br /> <br /> September 9, 1997 <br /> <br /> The Mooresville Town Council met for a Final Adoption Hearing for the <br /> 1998 Budget on Tuesday, September 9, 1997 at 7:30 P. M. at the <br /> Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Council members present were: President Mark Mathis, Vice-PresidentAndy <br /> Pygman, Toby Dolen, Jim Hensley, and Bill Wright. <br /> <br /> Motionwas made by CouncilmanWright, second by Councilman Dolen to <br /> approve the Ordinance adopting the 1998 Budget. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br /> President Mark Mathis stated the tax rate would be lower for 1998, but <br /> could raise in 1999 due to the fact the Town General Cash Balance on <br /> June 30, 1997 reflected the encombered monies for the 1977 Pension Plan <br /> and this money would be paid out before June 30, 1998. <br /> <br /> The Budgets were then signed by the Council members. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Council at this time, <br /> a motion was made by Councilman Hensley, second by Councilman Dolen to <br /> adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 5-0· <br /> <br /> The next regular scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will <br /> be Tuesday, Sept~nber 16, 1997, at 7:30 P. M. at the Mooresville Town <br /> Hall. <br /> <br /> Council members present were: President MarkMathis, Vice-President <br /> Andy Pygman, Toby Dolen, Bill Wright, and Jim Hensley.. <br /> No members were absent. <br /> <br /> Park&Recreation ~dget: $24,100 was deleted from the Budget or ~. <br /> Bldg. & Structure Repair, Paving, Improvement to Bldgs., Other Park <br /> Improvements, and Landscaping, this to be paid for by Food & Beverage <br /> money. Also $27,500 for concessions deleted from Budget and the <br /> Non-Reverting Operating Fund will receipt and pay out for the concessions. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Hensley, second by Councilman Dolen to <br /> approve the Budget of $451,165.00 for the Park and Recreation. Motion <br /> carried 5-0. <br /> <br /> <br />
