The motion died for lack of a second. ATI~ST: Sept. 2, 1997 The Mooresville Town Council met in regular session on Tuesday, September 2, 1997, at 7:30 P. M. at the Mooresville Town Hall. Council members present were: President Mark Mathis, Vice~President gaudy Pygman, Bill Wright, Toby Dolen, and Jitn Hensley. No council members were absent. Motion was made by Councihnan Wright, second by Councilman Dolen to approve the minutes of the August 26, 1997 meeting. Motion carfled 5-0. Town Attorney Tim Cmre~rs explained Steve ~hndrews of Hadley, Cook, and Quillen received three quotes from different insurance companies for the Town buildings and automobiles and he took the lowest quote. · Lowell Swinney appeared before the Council to request permission to hook on to rite sewer at Crosby Road and Highway 67. He is building a home on Crosby Road and will nm a 4" line to the hook on. He said he would agj'ee to atmexation. Motion was made by Councilman Hensley, second by Councilman Wright to approve tiffs request. Motion catxied 4-1 with Councilman Mathis opposing. Motion was made by Councilman Hensley, second by Councihxmn Dolen to approve the recommendation of the Plan Commission to rezone the property owned by Roy Ten'ell on East High Slreet from B-2 to B-3. Motion carried 3-1. Councihnan Pygrnan opposed and Councilman W~i?ht abstained.
