Motion carried 5-0. <br /> Vince Sommers of Comrnonwealth Engineers appeared bctb~c thc Council to cxplaiu iff:; <br /> company and to inform the Cotmcil they would like to be considcrcd when a Iht}joel ~.~ cd; <br /> bid for the WWTP. <br /> Greg Brewer of the Mooresville Lion's Club requested permission to close East South <br /> from Park Street to High Street on August 9, 10, and 11 for Old Settlers. Motion was made l~y <br /> Councilman Pygman, second by Com~cilman Dolen to grant pcmfission lbr East St}ulh Itl be <br /> closed at the designated spots. Councilman Hensley opposed. <br /> President Mathis reported the State Board of Accounts has requested thc Health lnsumm;¢ <br /> appropriations for all departments be transferred to a separate fund called Self Insured 1 lealth <br /> insurance Fund on August 1, 1998. Each department will still appropriate a line item fur l lealth <br /> Insurance and a line item for Other Insurance in their budgets. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councihnan Wright to approve payment of <br />~ the claims.
