Members present were: President Mark Mathis, Bill Wright, and Andy Pygman. Com~cihnan Hensley and Councilman Dolen were absent. Motion was made by Councilman Wright, second by Councilman Pygman to approve thc minutes of the August 4, 1998 meeting. Motion carried 3-0. Mike Reagan of 856 Landersdale Road requested a second hook-on to the sewer. Motion was made by Councilman Wright, second by Councilman Pygman to approve the hook-on subject to signing a waiver for protesting annexation to the Town and repairing any damage to the road should that occur. Motion was a no vote-2-1 with President Mathis opposed. The Reagans will need to come back to the September 1, 1998 meeting when a quorum will be present. Kathy Peoples of 1009 Landersdale Road also requested a sewer hook-on. Motion was made by Councilman Wright, second by Councilman Pygman to approve subject to waiver for annexation. Motion was a no vote -2-1 President Mathis opposed. Ms. Peoples will be on the agenda for the September 1, 1998 meeting. Paul Ruch of the Mooresville Optimist Club asked the Town Council to issue a Pruclamation declaring the Week of September 13th thru the 19th, 1998 "Always Buckle Children in the Back Seat Week." A Proclamation will be signed at the September 1, 1998 meeting Motion was made by Councilman Wright, second by Councilman Pygman to conditionally accept the lowest bid of$447,112.25 from Weitzel Construction Co. for the Brookmote Sewer Project.
