4,19. <br /> <br /> November 9, 1998 <br /> <br /> The Mooresville Town Council met on Monday, Novc~nber 9, 1998, at 7:30 P. M. in the <br /> Mooresville Town Hall in a Special Meeting for Economic Development. <br /> <br /> Council members present: President Mark Mathis, Toby Dolen, and Andy Pygman. Council <br />"""-"--[ members Bill Wright and Jim Hensley were absent. Town Attorney Ti~n Currens and EDC <br /> Director Harold Gutzwiller were also present. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Dolen for a Confirmatory Resolution to grant Viking Ai~ <br /> Tools and Jack K. Elrod Co. a ten and ten year tax abatement on Building and Equipment. <br /> There was no second forthcoming, so the motion died and this will be tabled to the November <br /> 17, 1998 meeting. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Pygman to grant a three year <br /> tax abatement to Weliever Chevrolet on the building only. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Pygman to approve <br /> Confirmatory Resolution # 10, 1998, for a three year tax abatement, building only, for Weliever <br /> Chevrolet. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br /> Council President Mathis made a statement in which he would request the Town Council at the <br /> November 17, 1998 meeting that the Town Manager's position be put out for notice and they <br /> take applications. Mr. Mathis said he felt this was the only fair way to hire a Town Manager. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Council at this time, a motion was made by <br /> Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Pygman to adjourn the meeting. <br /> <br /> The next regular scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be Tuesday, <br /> November 17, 1998, at 7:30 P.
