MOORESVILLE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br /> <br /> Wednesday - December 18, 1991 <br /> Mooresville Town Hall 7:00 P.M. <br /> <br /> The Board ~f Zoning Appeals met for <br />meeting on December 18, 1991 at 7:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Town Hall with members Alan Kramer, Vern Kimmel, <br /> <br />Steve 0schman and Charles McGuire present. Also <br />the Board's attorney, Timothy C. Currens. <br /> <br />its regular scheduled <br /> <br /> at the Mooresville <br /> Don Barry, <br /> present was <br /> <br /> A motion to approve the minutes of the November 20, 1991 <br />meeting was made by Vern Kimmel. A second was made by Steve <br />Oschman. Motion passed 5-0. <br /> <br /> Laverne Hoffman came before the Board with a request on <br />zoning for a business at 349 E. Washington Street. She told <br />the Board that this would be used for a Craft Store and she <br />planned to rent out space to others to display their crafts. <br />Laverne Hoffman went on to say that there would be no additions <br />made to the home. <br /> <br /> After some discussion it was determined that Ms. Hoffman <br />would change her zoning request to a variance in order to use <br />this residence as a business. Tim Currens suggested usin~ B2 <br />as a guideline. <br /> <br /> Steve 0schman asked about signs for the business and <br />Laverne Hoffman indicated the locations of the signs. She then <br />asked if there was a stipulation on the size of the signs and <br />was told yes. <br /> <br /> It was determined that a 4' x 4' sign would be used and <br />this would require 20 feet from the commercial side and 30 <br />feet from the residential side which can be met. <br /> The Board went on to further discuss the parking which <br />would be 29 feet from the alley and extend approximately 78 <br />feet which would be more than four (4) spaces which is what <br />would be required. <br /> <br />Tim Currens asked Laverne Hoffman if the deed was in her <br />name onoly and she said not it was in the name of Edith Hawkins <br /> <br /> <br />
