~~µ <br />There being no further business to come before the council at this time a motion was <br />made by Councilman Bryant and a second by Councilman Clark to adjourn the meeting. <br />Mahon carried 4-0. <br />The next regular scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be an <br />Tuesday, January 2, 2007, at 6:30 P. Perry, Clerk-Treasurer <br />January 2, 2007 <br />The Mooresville Town Council met in regular session on Tuesday, January 2, 2007, at <br />6:30 P. NI. at the Mooresville Tawn Hall. <br />Town Council members present: Tom Warthen, Jahn L. Clark, 7'aby Dolen, and Eric <br />Shields. Mark Harris was absent. "town. attorney Tim Currens was present. <br />Jim Taylor, Mooresville Grace Cl~urch, gave the prayer. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman. Dolen to <br />approve minutes from the December l9, 2006 meeting. Mahon carried 4-0. <br />Reorganization.: A motion was made by Councilman Dolen with a second by <br />Councilman Clark to approve Tom Worthen as Council President. Motion carried. <br />Council President Worthen handed out a letter far all department heads saying there were <br />things on the horizon that needed evaluated. tte wants answers back to the council one <br />month from tonight's meeting. <br />The Honorable Richard Bray presented a rezone for Century 21 for property on Highway <br />67. The property belongs to Harold and Thelma Weddle and is zoned agriculture. <br />Century 21 wants to buy tl~e property and have a B-3 zoning. The Plan Commission had. <br />voted and passed on a favorable recommendation to the Council. <br />Council President Worthen asked if the house was platted separately or if the property <br />was all one plat. There are four different tracts with two houses and. one building. The <br />rezone is for the entire tract tliat includes four properties. A motion was made by <br />Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Dolen to approve Ordinance #l, 2007 <br />rezoning the Weddle properly from. Agriculture to B-3. Motion carried ~-0. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Dalen to <br />approve Annexation Ordinance #2, 2007 for Jessup property adjoining Grandview and <br />fronting an Hadley Rd. Motion carried 4-0. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Shields to <br />approve Annexation Ordinance #3, 2007 .for Srooknook Farms, LP that is the Merriman <br />Property on Highway 67. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Dolen to give <br />Attorney Currens permission to set a public hearing far azuiexatian of Meadowlake and <br />the Carr property east of Town. Tlae Council will look at the fiscal plans on January 16, <br />2007. These annexations will give us contiguity to Collett Acres and Lakeside <br />Comtmons. Motion carried 4-0. <br />
