MINUTES OF MOORESVILLE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br /> <br /> The Mooresville Board of Zoning Appeals met at its regularly called <br /> <br />session on Wednesday, the 18th day of April, 1984 at 7:00 o'clock P.M. at the <br />Mooresville Town Hall. Present were Board Members Steve Oschman, Wendell Thaler, <br />Tilford Bailey, and Warren Franklin. Also present was the Board's Attorney, <br />Timothy C. Currens. A determination of a quorum was made by Chairman Oschman <br />and the minutes of the last meeting were approved as read by all members. <br /> <br /> Chairman Oschman then proceeded to the first item on the agenda, a <br /> <br />petition for a variance filed by Century 21-Arnold & Associates, Variance Number <br />5-1984 requesting a variance to use the property located at 7 West High Street, <br />Mooresville, Indiana as a real estate office. Diana L. Grindean was present <br />representing Century 21 and advised that the property would be used for the real <br />estate office with an insurance agent using a portion of it. She showed a letter <br />she had sent to all the property owners and also a drawing showing the parking and <br />sign area. Chairman Oschman then ask for any responses from the floor. There <br />being no remonstrators present the Board reviewed the information and discussed the <br />variance request. <br /> <br /> Wendell Thaler then made a motion to grant the variance as presented <br /> <br />subject to the restrictions as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. That there he one lighted sign to be installed at center post <br /> <br /> of porch, parallel with Indiana Street, to be lit from 6:00 <br /> A.M. until 9:00 o'clock P.M. no larger than 5 feet by 3 feet. <br /> <br /> 2.Allow one unlit sign for the insurance office on Indiana Street <br /> <br /> side but not to be larger than 18 inches by 24 inches. <br /> <br /> 3. Limit of one other unlit 18 inch by 24 inch sign, in case <br /> rental space sign is needed by another professional. <br /> <br /> <br />
