MINUTES OF THE MOORESVILLE BOAPd) OF ZONING APPEALS <br /> <br /> The Mooresville Board of Zoning Appeals met at its regularly called session <br /> <br />on Wednesday, August 15, 1984, at 7:00 o'clock P.M. at the Mooresvil]e Town Hall. <br />Present were Board Members Steve Oschman, Paul Walters, Tilford Bailey, and Warren <br />Franklins The Board's Attorney, Timothy C. Currens, was also present. A determination <br />of a quorum was made by Chairman Oschman and minutes of the last meeting were approved <br />as read. The findings of fact on the Nancy Harris zoning application was read and <br />approved by the Board. <br /> <br /> Chairman Oschman then proceeded to the first item on tho agenda, a reqoest <br /> <br />for a continuance on the Tidler and Burden special exception filed by their attorney, <br /> <br />David Lawson. The Board granted the continuance finding reasonable grounds. <br /> <br /> The Board then proceeded to the variance application of Donald and Susan <br /> <br />Bryson who were present in person and by counsel, David Lawson, of the law firm <br />of HOWAP~ & LAWSON. The Brysons filed a request for a variance from development <br />standards on their property located at 31Devonwood Drive reqoesting a variance <br />on the set back as to the rear mnd side to place a storage building on a cement <br />slab which was the foundation for a prior storage building. The request was from <br />a rear set back variance from the development standards of 40 feet to 6 feet <br />and on the side from 12 to 6 feet. Pictures were introduced showing the location <br />along with a copy of the letter sent to adjoining property owners. Mr. Lawson <br />pointed out that the request was compatible with the neighborhood and other storage <br />buildings in this area. There were no remonstrators present and the Board proceeded <br />to discuss the matter and find the necessary requirements for a variance from the <br />development standards. Paul Walters then made the motion to grant a variance from <br />the deve]opment standards to allow the construction of this storage shed with the <br />rear set back variance for 6 feet and the side from 12 feet to 6 feet.
