MINUTES OF THE MOORESVILLE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br /> March 20, 1975 <br /> <br /> The MooresvJlle Board of Zoning Appeals met for a special <br />called meetlng on Thursday, March 20, 1975 at 7:30 P.H. The <br />public meeting was held In the Munlcipal BuJldlng pursuant to <br />notice. The meeting was held to consider Petition #1, 1975 <br />f11ed by Stephen and Cheryl Edwards and Oonald M. and Judy L. <br />Barry. <br /> <br /> Those Board members present were= William Roberson, Paul <br />Walters, Warren Franklin and Eweather Stephens. David Lawson, <br />attorney for the board was also present. <br /> <br /> Stephen Edwards and Donald Barry presented tentative plans <br />for the construction of a two (2) famll'y dwelllng on the lot <br />North of property located at 202 W. High Street. Their intent Is <br />to remodel and sell the existing house and to build on the North <br />1or if a variance on footage requirements of the zoning code for <br />side yards and back yards can be granted. <br /> <br /> Owners of adjoining property to the West , Andy and Martha <br />Pygman, appeared, not so much as remonstrators but rather to seek <br />facts regarding the proposed building. They did request that <br />footages be held as nearly to requirements of the zoning codes as <br />posslble should the varlance be granted. <br /> <br /> After lengthy discussion on requirements to accomodate both <br />the proposed builders and the code requirements Paul Walters <br />presented the following motion: <br /> <br /> ~' A variance be granted to the Guardian of the property <br />at 202 W. High Street ~for a two-family dwe11Ing to be located a <br />minlmum of twelve (12) feet from the property ilne on the West side <br />and a minimum of flve (5) feet from the property line on 'the <br />South side, and Off-street parking w111 conform to a minimum <br />footage of 1800 Square feet.~ The motlon was seconded by <br />Eweather Stephens and the vote was unanimous. <br /> <br /> A reorganization meeting was held at which time the <br />following officers were elected for the year 1975: <br /> <br />Chairman: William Roberson <br />Vice Chairman: Paul Walters <br />Secretary: Eweather Stephens <br /> <br /> There being no further business, <br />Walters and seconded by Eweather Stephens, <br />adjourned. <br /> <br />upon a motion by Paul <br />the meeting was <br /> <br />PPes ident <br /> <br /> <br />
