Mooresville Metropolitan <br />Police Department <br />Board of Police Commissioners <br />Larry Bryant <br />Fred Settle <br />Danny Lundy <br />MOORESVILLE POLICE COMMISSION MINUTES <br />These are the Minutes of the regularly scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Police Commission <br />held at the Mooresville Police Department on June 20, 2019. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Larry Bryant, Fred Settle, Danny Lundy <br />ALSO PRESENT: Chief Allen, Charles Braun, Anthony Woodside, Shane & Rebecca <br />Williams, Chris & Jessica Hester, Ron & Sondra Cooper, Chad <br />Richhart and Amanda Carrell <br />Call to order at 6:00 PM. <br />Fred Settle made a motion to accept the minutes from the May meeting. Danny Lundy seconded. <br />No discussion. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Fred Settle made a motion to accept the minutes from the June 18°i Executive Police <br />Commission meeting. Danny Lundy seconded. No discussion. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Chief Allen presented the Police Commission with the stats for May 2019. <br />Chief Allen updated the Police Commission on the status of the new police department. <br />Chief Allen updated the Police Commission on the status of the three applicants. All three will <br />be sworn in at 10 am on Monday, June 24`h <br />Chief Allen presented to the Police Commission that he would like to change SOP 9.07, which <br />deals with wrecker services. The current SOP states that wreckers will have 20 minutes to <br />respond to any scene when called by the police department. Chief Allen stated that he would like <br />to change the time from 20 minutes to "reasonable amount". Amanda Carvell presented the <br />Police Commission with a report regarding the wrecker times for each wrecker provider that the <br />MMPD uses. After much discussion, Fred Settle made a motion to keep the time limit at 20 <br />minutes. Larry Bryant agreed and Danny Lundy seconded the motion. <br />Danny Lundy advised that the Police Commission of the results of the survey. After much <br />discussion, Danny Lundy advised that he would like to present the Police Commission with two <br />new general rules. The first Mooresville Police Commission General Rule 2019-01: Incentive <br />Pay Training Process states that the Chief of Police will determine what training will be made <br />available each year based on departmental needs and budgetary constraints. Danny Lundy <br />advised that the application and selection of officers for incentive pay training shall be conducted <br />under the same guidelines and procedures as the promotion process as described in SOP 1.03. <br />
