MINUTES <br />FOR THE MOORESVILLEPARK i RECREATION DISTRICT BOA <br />F <br />November <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm. Board members present were Mark Taylor, <br />Brian Wiser, Lynn Adams, Erin Bechtold, Matt Saner, and David Pearson. Asst. Supt. Kris <br />Wilson and Office Mgr. Stacy Freeman. Absent, Danny Shaw. Special guest, Elizabeth <br />Smith. <br />Minutes of October 18, 2021, approved as written. Motion made by David Pearson, <br />seconded by Lynn Adams. Motion carried. <br />The 2022 firework planning is underway. Jeff Watson who oversees the purchasing the <br />fireworks informed us the prices will be going up. We will need to increase budge or <br />decrease time. Discussion ensued. <br />2021 Summer Concert series revenue split check was received. RD Productions is putting <br />together a contract for the 2022 Concert Series. <br />Assistant Superintendent, Kris Wilson updated the Board on the emergency trail repair <br />to the Northside of the bridge. The trail has been cut, due to the weather paving is <br />behind. <br />The Park was awarded the IPEP Grant to purchase a variety of safety items. The money <br />will be used to purchase fall protection. <br />Special guest, Elizabeth Smith, Victorian Christmas coordinator is asking to use <br />Bicentennial Park for Tree lighting on December 3 and the actual event on December <br />4th. Motion to use the Bicentennial Park both nights for Victorian if Certificate of <br />Insurance is provided for both days. Motion made by Mark Taylor, seconded by Erin <br />Bechtold. Motion Carried <br />Asst. Superintendent Kris Wilson updated the Board on the status of the Bicentennial <br />Park. The ground lights are under warranty and trying to get someone to replace. The <br />privacy shield is still underway, trying to reach out to Mooresville Welding. The goal is to <br />have the project complete by Victorian Christmas. <br />Asst. Superintendent Kris Wilson informed the Park Board landowner adjacent to the <br />park on Indianapolis Road reached out. The owner is not ready to sell, but asked what <br />would be the intention of the park with the property. Discussion ensued. Park Board <br />determined the intention would be to tear it down. <br />
